Scotch College, Claremont, Western Australia
A recent visit to the Scotch playing fields in Claremont was my first.
There’s a big electronic scoreboard at the main oval – the Memorial Ground – but what really caught my eye were the wooden boards at the minor ovals, each named after an old headmaster. They are in for a revamp soon so we got them just in time.
Cricketers John Inverarity, Barry Shepherd, Ian Brayshaw and his son James went to Scotch as did footballers Ross Glendinning, Mal Brown, Drew Banfield and Ashley McIntosh.
