Stinton Oval, Geelong, Victoria

It is not uncommon for a scoreboard to be named  in honour of a player/administrator/volunteer/scoreboard attendant/boot studder, curator, etc. It is rather less common for a scoreboard to be adorned with two names. In this instance the two gentlemen – one from Newtown & Chilwell Cricket Club (David Barnes), one from Geelong Amateurs Football Club (David Leigh) share the first name.

The scoreboard stands on the Barwon River wing, beside the 12th tee of the Queens Park public golf course.

The corporate name of the ground, in red and white lettering elsewhere, features the letters F, C and K, though not in that order.
