Last November, just weeks before Test cricketer Ian Redpath died, aged 83, the Geelong Cricket Club officially opened the scoreboard named in his honour.

The Geelong Cricket Club is based at Kardinia Park, home of the slightly better known Geelong Football Club. The cricketers have their own ground these days, and a fine addition it is to the city’s premier sporting precinct, which also includes netball, swimming and local footy and cricket.
