Edwin Flack Park, Port Melbourne, Victoria

Edwin Flack Park is one of several tributes to the 1896 Olympian.  Located on Todd Road near the docks of Melbourne’s port and the quaintly-named suburb of Garden City, Edwin Flack Park is home to football, cricket, hockey and soccer for several teams from Melbourne Grammar School. (Edwin was a former student.)

Alas, the home team was in a spot of bother when Scoreboard Pressure pedalled by.(It got worse in the last quarter.)

Edwin Flack, doing a fine job of obscuring the main scoreboard.

Not exactly state-of-the-art but manual at least.

The main ground is Sheahan Oval, named after the former MGS principal and Test cricketer.
