Edwin Flack Park is one of several tributes to the 1896 Olympian. Located on Todd Road near the docks of Melbourne’s port and the quaintly-named suburb of Garden City, Edwin Flack Park is home to football, cricket, hockey and soccer for several teams from Melbourne Grammar School. (Edwin was a former student.)
Alas, the home team was in a spot of bother when Scoreboard Pressure pedalled by.(It got worse in the last quarter.)
The main ground is Sheahan Oval, named after the former MGS principal and Test cricketer.
