It’s more than seven years since Scoreboard Pressure visited Berwick. Back then the scoreboard was a suburban classic:
But things change. That’s the way it is. And good to see that the new scoreboard is still the R.J. Sutton Scoreboard.

Berwick joined the Eastern Football & Netball League this year. Local footy enthusiast Anthony Steward tells us that the Wickers finished a respectable 7th with 3 wins and 6 losses in a season that had to pull up stumps early.
The club’s first ENFL win came in Round 3 against the perennial EFNL heavyweights Balwyn by 11 points (9 12 66 v 10 17 77).
“A win at Balwyn Visy Park is always HARD EARNED so it makes this all the MORE meritorious! The Wickers showed enough to suggest they absolutely fit right here – seems the transfer across to the best suburban competition in metropolitan Melbourne has already paid dividends. Won’t be long before a Premier Division flag is flying at Edwin Flack Reserve!”
