Lake King, Western Australia

Lake King is the home of the Lakes Football Club in the three-team Ravensthorpe and Districts Football Association in Western Australia. The other clubs are Ravensthorpe Tigers and the Southerners, from Hopetoun.

Lake King is in the WA wheatbelt, not far from Lake Grace. That means it’s a long way from anywhere.

It’s kind of famous for the work of Professor Tom Lyons of Murdoch University, who has found that clouds form more readily over natural bush areas near Lake King than over cleared paddocks.
