Alan Edwards Park is one of the home grounds of the Kardinya Kats Junior Football Club.

This week it was the venue for the 2016 IEC Cup – the inaugural Intensive English Centre division match between North Lake Senior Campus and Cyril Jackson Senior Campus.

Both teams had periods of dominance but Cyril Jackson, displaying some slick handball skills, made the most of their opportunities. Many of the players were taking part in an Australian Rules game for the first time. North Lake’s team was introduced to footy just a few weeks ago by current East Fremantle and former North Melbourne player Liam Anthony who works for the WAFC.
