The Sunraysia Football Netball League plays all its finals at the City Oval/showgrounds/trotting track, which is the homeof three Mildura based clubs: Mildura, South Mildura and Imperials. This very large sporting complex comprises two full-size football grounds, netball courts, and a trotting track around one of the football grounds – with the associated turf cricket grounds also contained within.
The Sarah Oval, otherwise known as the Number 3 oval is the home of South Mildura Football/Netball Club. The main oval within the trotting track facility is the home ground of both the Mildura and the Imperials football clubs.
The Sarah Oval scoreboard takes down the names of competing clubs when no football is in progress. The façade of the main oval scoreboard can vary yearly depending on sponsor commitments. They are indeed very large scoreboards.
The newly-formed Ouyen United Kangas Football Club surprised all and sundry this year by winning both the Seniors and Reserves premierships in its first season in the higher standard Sunraysia League, following the demise of the Mallee league. A magnificent effort.
