Ivanhoe Park, Victoria

Ivanhoe Park, on The Boulevard, is home to the Ivanhoe Junior Football Club, which plays in the Yarra Junior Football League, and Ivanhoe Amateurs Football Club, which plays in the Victorian Amateur Football Association.

The IAFC’s honor roll includes many VFL/AFL players, mostly Collingwood players: Jack Hamilton, Albert and Harry Collier, Robert Dean, Doug Gott and Andrew Ireland are just a few. Others to play at the top level include Swans twins Neville and Robert Stibbard,  and Fitzroy’s David McMahon, Harry Corbett, and John Newnham.

Like much of Melbourne this year, the new-ish scoreboard at Ivanhoe Park looks as if it has stalled/frozen/malfunctioned.
The things you find lying around, face down, near old scoreboards…

Thanks to kick-to-kick mates Rodger Y and Kim G for the trip to the northern suburbs.
