It’s ten years since I visited the North Footscray ground, home of the Red Devils, and while the old red and white scoreboard is still there, I wonder how much it is used, given there’s an electronic screen on the wing. I made up some scores on a quiet Sunday morning, steering clear of the number 4, because I’m blowed if I know how to configure it properly. (Got caught out many years ago officiating at a Werribee v Williamstown game!)
