Scoreboards at WA schools are rare.
So when I dropped in at Beverley District High School during the July holidays I had cricket pitches (gone) and goal posts (just at one end of the reshaped sport area) on my mind.
A closer inspection of this structure and the G and B confirmed it was a treasure.

Some good players came from Beverley including Bert Wansborough, one of the stars of Perth’s 1955 grand final win; 1964 Claremont premiership player Dale Edwards and his son Scott who played in four winning grand finals for the Tigers and was an inaugural Docker. I don’t know if any of them made this scoreboard tick over.
