It’s ten years since we visited Thornton and it’s nice, in some ways, to see that things haven’t changed much. If at all. The same scoreboard is still there.
Although the men’s team has had some very lean years lately (struggling to field a team let alone win a match) there is plenty of energy amongst the women’s team.
The club has produced a handful of VFL/AFL players but its best known player is possibly actor Ernie Dingo, who apparently played at full forward in the 1981 Grand Final loss to Emerald.
