Scoreboard Pressure on national airwaves.

Scoreboard Pressure’s Les Everett spoke on national ABC Radio on New Year’s Eve. Les was a guest of Western Australian ABC Radio host Barry Nicholls, who quizzed Les about the origins and motivations behind scoreboardpressure.com.

The ten-minute chat included a call from a scoreboard fan in Cobden, Victoria, who told of the incredible agility of Australia’s first hand transplant recipient Peter Walsh in the scoreboard at Cobden. Peter tossed the coin at an AFL preliminary final in 2011.

There was also talk about the South Australian town of Myponga that has a great scoreboard and a connection to Black Sabbath and Bon Scott. Les bemoaned the fact that he’d been able to find out about Myponga’s rock and roll past but not much about great footballers to have come from the town.

After the program a former McLaren Vale player, Peter Taylor, contacted Scoreboard Pressure about playing at Myponga.

Scoreboard Pressure thanks ABC Radio and the many listeners who then visited the site.
