Footscray Edgewater declares at 8/526

Footscray Edgewater Cricket Club thrashed Essendon by 360 runs in the final of Melbourne’s 2013-2014 district cricket competition, held over the last weekend of March.

After declaring late on day two at 8/526, Footscray Edgewater then decimated the Bombers, leaving them 5/90 at  stumps.

Overnight rain did not delay the inevitable, the final five wickets falling for another 77 runs. The  victory was set up with centuries to Travis Dean (138) and man of-the-match Shanuka Dissanyaka (175 not out.)
