Famous as the junior club of James Hird (Nathan Buckley also played a season of under 12s there) Ainslie now plays in the North Eastern Australian Football League. David Cloke captain-coached Ainslie to premierships in 1992-93. But it’s not all history with dual best and fairest winner Aaron Vandenberg picked up by Melbourne in the 2014 AFL Draft. Vandenberg made 56 disposals in a game against Eastlake last season.
