A Sunday morning kick to kick mate mate had told me about the lovely new turf at the Bryan Martyn Oval in Newport. Another mate, a recently retired groundsman and curator, had told me the same. They were both right. Am looking forward to having a kick there soon. But neither had mentioned the new scoreboard. Which is fair enough. It will come into its own in good time.
