Altona, Victoria, 2020

Thumbs up for a scoreboard in club colours.

After going to church on Sunday morning (The Miller’s Junction home of the local Bunnings, Officeworks, JB Hi Fi, Aldi, Woolworths, Pet Care, Car Care, No Where…) I took the long way home to recover. Left at Millers Road, right at Kororoit Creek Road, left at Maidstone Road, left at Civic Parade. An instinctive glance towards JK Grant  Reserve, and its three ovals. was enough for a roundabout U-turn and then right at Sugar Gum Drive…

The footy scoreboards are in hibernation at this time of the year, of course, but that’s okay.

Magnetic scoreboards don’t need hooks. Or nails.

Darren ‘Duck’ Hyde won the club’s Best and Fairest in 1990, and is a Vikings Life Member. We’d love to learn more about him. Write to Altona Answers, c/- Post Office Box Scoreboard Pressure.

Altona Football Club is a strong club in the Western Region Football League.
