Melbourne musician Dan Oke (who performs under the name of Jarrow) is currently offering to write 30-second jingles/tunes for the princely sum of $5. He figured he can’t play any gigs for a while, but could still maintain his creativity.
Ever-versatile and open to a challenge, Dan has written, performed and recorded over 40 tunes in just a few weeks. All sorts of topics, all sorts of music. You’ll find them on Jarrow’s website.
For Scoreboard Pressure I asked Dan to compose a piece that conveyed the sense of driving along back roads and through old country towns looking for old footy grounds.
I suggested the music be ‘Alt-country pedal steel guitar type of thing with a twist of Jarrow’.
Thank you Dan.
I’m playing that when I get back on the road looking for scoreboards. Probably playing it quite often cos one of the places on my list is 785km away.
