An anonymous contributor sent this image in this morning. A rare pic of the scoreboard at Skinner Reserve, Braybrook, in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
Said our contributor: “I was randomly watching a video on Footscray and it went to a game at Skinner Reserve in 1989 and there she was: the beautiful big Skinner Reserve scoreboard on the outer wing.”
I reckon the image is as much a painting as it is – most likely – a third or fourth generation copied image.
As I was saving the images to my Scoreboard Photos folder I came across a pic that had somehow escaped me over the years. ‘Not even sure how I came across it! (Anybody out there want to take credit?)
