About seven years ago I accompanied a mate to Albury-Wodonga. He had serious work to do. A Legal Aid mediator in family disputes. Serious work, indeed.
Me, I was adrift. So while my mate tried to broker peace I pedalled from one state to another, crossing the Murray looking for footy grounds and swimming pools.
The Wodonga Bulldogs are based at Martin Park, as are The Wodonga Saints.
Well, they were both there seven years ago. One oval each at Martin Park, I think. Different leagues. Ovens and Murray for the Bulldogs. Talangatta District for the Saints. (Formerly Bethanga Football Club)
