When you use metal scoreboard number plates as your canvas you’re pretty much assured of being one of scoreboardpressure.com’s favourite artists.

Naomie Hatherley’s exhibition Keeping Score 2022 at the Moores Building in Fremantle is a celebration of women in Australian Rules footy with action from country and WAFLW games painted on the metal ‘canvases’ dominating the show.
And there’s more with a trio of “holy” paintings and a banner bearing a quote from The Western Australian in 1895 reminding us women “… are apparently not designed for football” causing particular mirth.

Also on display are photos by Barry Mitchell and his team from SnapAction in Geraldton some being the inspiration for Hatherley’s paintings.
Keeping Score 2022 runs until 20 March at the Moores Building 46 Henry Street, Fremantle.

An artist after our heart if ever there was!
