Moyston (black and yellow Tigers) and Willaura (red, white and black (Saints?))  merged in 2000 to become the teal, white and black Pumas. The puma is a curious creature in these parts of western Victorian with stories surfacing every now and then of sightings. Another story that is much debated is whether former local resident Tom Wills, a founder of Austrralian Rules football 170 years ago, picked up ideas for the new game while living in the region.
