Benalla play in the Goulburn Valley Football League but last enjoyed a senior premiership in 1973 when they were in the Ovens & Murray FL.
Things have been looking up for the Saints in recent years under young gun playing coach Luke Morgan who won the GVFL best and fairest award the Morrison Medal in 2013. Another Saint Will Martinello won the Mitchell in 2014 while Benalla  took out the under-18s premiership.
