The Bulldogs are the reigning premiers in the Central Wheatbelt Football League. They were once Burakin-Kalannie in the Dalwallinu District Football Association winning the last DDFA premiership in 1967. Burakin-Kalannie played in the Central Midlands Football League and dropped Burakin from the name in 1970.KalannieSmallVert

Kalannie joined the CWFL in 1984 and won a hat-trick of premiership from 2003-05.

Kalannie sits about 260km north-east of Perth.

I became an expert on Kalannie by reading Derek Mott’s Following the Bouncing Burley. You can buy the book at http://frontiersportsmedia.com

Special thanks to Doug Taylor who acted as scoreboard attendant for this project.
