After the disappointment of City Oval early on Easter Monday morning I pedalled all the way to Redan Oval (about two blocks away) looking for a scoreboard that wasn’t electronic/digital and wasn’t hidden by a bloody rollerdoor.

Fortunately the Redan scoreboard was neither. ‘Haven’t seen many scoreboards with a cream brick backdrop.

If I’d had the panniers on the pushbike I could have brought along some spare numbers but, alas, not this time. And the weight would have slowed down my Tour de Scoreboards.

Redan Oval was a nice counterpoint to the grandiosity of City Oval.
