You’ll find Bremer Bay on WA’s south coast about half way between Albany and Esperance.

Our correspondent Robin Belford set off a long road trip before the world changed and sent us these photographs. (He’s home now.)

Bremer Bay was listed as part of the Green Range Ongerup Cricket Association in the 2019/20 season but it’s unclear, via the My Cricket website, whether they actually played a game. The pitch and nets are in pretty good condition.

The fallen point post might tell a story. The scoreboard is definitely for footy but as for who or when anyone has played here, well that’s a mystery. No mention in Derek Mott’s extensive research, no mention in A Way of Life and nothing even on Trove.

Any information on footy in Bremer Bay would be gratefully received.
